With onstage seating, pre-concert chats and a table of treats, this morning concert series is proving popular with classical music lovers. Hosted by Elizabeth and Marcel Bergmann, with world-class guest musicians, Morning Musicale delivers an intimate, personal musical experience.

About Mark Ferris

A founding member of Yaletown String Quartet, Mark Ferris is a graduate of Yale University and is currently concertmaster/mentor for the Vancouver Metropolitan Orchestra. Throughout his extensive career, he has played on or been featured on dozens of successful recordings, including 2 Juno Award winning albums by the CBC Radio Orchestra and Phil Dwyer. His choral and orchestral arrangements have also been featured in a decade of Spirit Alive concerts at the Chan Centre. He has held the role of concertmaster of the Vancouver Opera Orchestra, spent 17 years with the acclaimed CBC Radio Orchestra and was concertmaster of the Lions Gate Sinfonia for 7 years. He has toured with the Winnipeg and National Ballets and played for Phantom of the Opera, Showboat, Sunset Blvd., Fiddler on the Roof, Hello Dolly and Diana Krall. In addition to playing violin, Mark composes and arranges for video games, CD's and television.
