David Blackadder - Trumpet

David Blackadder headlines an evening with the Victoria Baroque Players featuring a sparkling program of dizzyingly eclectic and wide-ranging selections performed with great feeling and expressive depth.

DAVID BLACKADDER: A renowned soloist, David Blackadder has performed and recorded with numerous international conductors including Sir Simon Rattle, Sir Roger Norrington and Vladimir Jurowski. His recordings of Handel arias with singers Renee Fleming and Kiri Te Kanawa have received particular critical acclaim. He has also recorded the Brandenburg Concertos with Trevor Pinnock and with the Academy of Ancient Music.

VICTORIA BAROQUE PLAYERS: Victoria Baroque Players present high-quality, high-energy, and engaging performances of music from the baroque and classical periods. Playing on the instruments of the 18th century, the historically-informed ensemble brings audiences closer to the sound world of the period, embracing the dance-driven rhythmic vitality, as well as the lyrical and conversational aspect of the baroque music.
