If you have any questions\, please call 250-746-2722.  \nCo-choreographed by Jennifer Mascall and Claire O’Neil. In spring 2023\, the work premiered in Wellington\, Aotearoa/New Zealand\, followed by a six city tour of the North and South Islands. \n  \nThe Impossible Has Already Happened is a choreographic collaboration between Vancouver’s Mascall Dance and Footnote New Zealand Dance that demonstrates the enormity of the climate crisis and the role humans play. Set to an evocative score and weaving in multimedia aspects\, seven dancers tell seven stories of water and real situations the planet is experiencing. \nMascall Dance has produced and incited somatic movement creation for 38 years. It is a platform for the work\, ideas\, and collaborators of company found and artistic director\, Jennifer Mascall. Recently described as “the fertile\, iterative\, gloriously unfinished practice of one of this town’s most unique creative forces” (Deborah Meyers)\, her work spans 45 years\, over 200 choreographies and many awards. \n
