The Legends of Rock n’ Roll presents the music of two award winning musical productions on one spectacular concert!
Zachary Stevenson from “THE BUDDY HOLLY STORY” returns to the stage as Buddy Holly… and he is joined by the headline performers from the hit production “MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET”… Lance Lipinsky as Jerry Lee Lewis, Jonathan Lyons as Johnny Cash and Ben Klein as Elvis. This is a musical pairing that could have happened, but never did… until now. Zachary Stevenson brings Buddy Holly to life like no other. He not only duplicates Holly's sound, gestures and mannerisms, but actually resembles Holly in physical appearance, down to that cocky, self-assured grin. Holly will be your host thru this fabulous rock’n’roll journey.
Lance Lipinsky as Jerry Lee Lewis, plays the piano every which-way… seated, standing, on top and backwards, with his hands and with his feet. He romances that piano like a like a guy with a serious case of the blues, then thrashes it like a prizefighter with a grudge. It’s a wonder both Lipinsky and the piano don’t self-destruct in “great balls of fire.”
Jonathan Lyons as a young Johnny Cash has that same deep, deep voice as he massages the heck out of songs like “Fulsome Prison Blues”, “Ghost Riders” and “Sixteen Tons”. Ben Klein as young Elvis has the looks, the voice and the moves with his sincere and pin-point tribute to the King of Rock’n’Roll.
Buddy Holly and his Million Dollar Friends is a fun-filled, toe tapping evening of good old rock & roll music played the way it is supposed to be played. As Sam Phillips – the so-called “Father of Rock and Roll” – said, “Rock and Roll ain’t a fad; it’s a revolution”. And you’ll join a houseful of ‘revolutionaries’ on their feet doin’ a whole lot of shakin’ and movin’ as the curtain falls at this extraordinary event.
