Cowichan Performing Arts Centre Presents

10,000 Gifts

Keywork Productions presents

Free admission | Tickets by donation.

10,000 Gifts is a story about a small Cowichan Valley School trying to reimagine what school can be. With well over 10,000 years of ancestry in the valley, Quw’utsun elders walk alongside the students and staff of Q’shintul (Mill Bay Nature School) guiding and demonstrating the humility and courage required for reconciliAction. Wendy Hyman, of the National Screen Institute – Canada, described the 45-minute documentary as an “entertaining, educational, and spiritual story told from the heart”. The documentary is made possible with the support of STORYHIVE.

The community screening will be held in Duncan at the Cowichan Performing Arts Centre on Sunday, April 16, 2023, at 1pm PT. Entrance is by donation. As well, 10,000 Gifts will premiere for free on TELUS Optik™ TV On Demand in the Fall of 2023. Please RSVP on Eventbrite.

Donations will go towards the costs of hosting the community screening.
