This is a free community film screening. Ages 16+ recommended. Due to elevator maintenance this event has been postponed.
Community screening and discussion: A filmmaker returns to Penelakut Island 25 years after documenting abuse at Kuper Island Indian Residential School. We gather as a community to reflect on the impacts of residential schools and their ongoing effects on Indigenous communities. Together, we can deepen our understanding, honour the stories of those affected by colonization and residential schools and promote healing.
Cedar brushing and emotional support available on site.
