Folsom Prison Revisited

GNR Entertainment Live presents

“Folsom Prison Revisited”, a production featuring one of the most iconic artists in history – Johnny Cash. But Cash was much more than a singing legend, his persona transcended music to make him a cultural icon. The man in black. The voice for the poor, the downtrodden, the working men and women. Cash’s dark image was largely cemented from his legendary prison performance at Folsom Prison. Cash’s legacy will be celebrated in stories and songs exploring how important that concert was to him.

The album recorded there reached No. 1 both on the country and pop charts. The incredible tale of what happened before, during and after that famous performance is brought back to life in the live show “Folsom Prison Revisited”. Featuring Devon Brayne from “Million Dollar Quartet’ and a group of award-winning musicians, you will be taken on a musical journey through that legendary concert with gripping stories, iconic music, and multimedia. You will hear songs including “Folsom Prison Blues”, “I Still Miss Someone” and “Jackson” plus seldomly performed songs by Cash including “25 Minutes to Go” and the heart wrenching “Greystone Chapel, written by a Folsom Prison inmate. You’ll also hear Cash’s biggest hits such as “Ring of Fire”, “Boy Named Sue” and “Hurt”.

In Folsom Prison Revisited you will get to relive a show that changed the life of Johnny Cash and changed music forever.
